2. Jake Paul’s Biography

Jake Paul was born on the 17th of January, 1997, in Cleveland, Ohio, USA. Paul opted to switch his career in multiple directions. He is a renowned boxer and YouTuber and has played some acting roles. He changed his career numerous times but was successful in everything he did.

2.1 Early Childhood

Jake Paul spent his childhood in Ohio, the US. He was born in Cleveland but brought up in Westlake. Since childhood, he has had a passion for boxing. He got admission to a boxing training academy and started training under his childhood boxing coach, Christopher Coach. But he did not start his career as a boxer. He joined professional boxing at the age of 21.

2.2 Starting a Career on Vine

He started filming videos with his brother at the age of 10. He started his career with his brother Logan Paul, a notable personality.

In September 2013, he started posting on Vine, an American short video hosting platform founded in 2012. His videos started going viral on Vine, and both brothers became famous. He gained over 5 million followers on the platform, but unfortunately, the platform was discontinued.

2.3 Launching YouTube channel

He launched his YouTube channel in 2014 with his brother. He started on YouTube by posting prank videos and vlogs. Both brothers became famous on YouTube, and Jake got over 20 million followers. According to Forbes, he also earned a lot from YouTube videos as he was the highest-paid Youtuber in 2023.

2.4 Playing some acting roles

Jake Paul, with a knack for shifting his career, jumped into acting in September 2015. He first appeared as a professional actor in the Bizaardvark show aired on Disney Plus (Disney+) in 2016. He played the character of Dirk Mann in the show. This show continued till 2019 and was a huge success.

The massive success of his first show motivated him to play other roles. After Bizaardvark, he acted in another TV program called Music Video Sins. This was also a successful show. After this, he worked on many other shows, including Airplane Mode, which was released in 2019 and is famous.

2.5 Shifting his career to music

In 2017, Jake started his music career by launching a music team named Team 10. Team 10, as the name suggests, consisted of 9 to 10 members with only two girls. He produced his first music video, “It’s Everyday Bro”. The song was uploaded on YouTube and got three hundred million views and more than 3 million likes.

Team 10 members have parted ways and are no longer in a band. Four years ago, he said in a vlog posted on YouTube that he wanted to have new members for his team 10, which indicates that almost all members have left the music band. Since then, Jake has yet to release a song featuring Team 10.

He also featured a song by boxing legend Mike Tyson, “Park South Freestyle,” and uploaded it to his YouTube channel on 25 November 2020. This song got 16 million views. Fans had never thought at that time that both would be playing against each other after four years.

Jake made many other music videos, but none were successful, like his first music video, “It’s Everyday Bro.” The thing that made him famous was his diss track against his brother Logan Paul. Like all other things, he started his music career with his elder brother. Logan and Jake made a diss against each other in 2017, making them famous in their music career.

2.6 Jumping into Professional Boxing

Jake converted his childhood passion into a career in August 2018. He debuted by playing against Deji Olatunji in a white-collar boxing match. White Collar boxing is a boxing match in which people belonging to other professions who have a passion for boxing play, like Jake Paul. The majority of them play without proper training.

There is the exception of Jake Paul, who was trained under Christopher Cox for boxing. Just like other things, Jake started boxing and had immediate success. He also started his boxing career with a win against Deji Olatunji.

Consider seeing the following video watching Jake’s first boxing match:

But it was not a professional boxing match as it was just a white-collar boxing match. Jake was ambitious in making his entry into professional boxing. But he did not make his professional debut in boxing with his brother Logan this time.

Logan made his debut in 2022. But Jake played his first professional match against AnEsonGib from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The match was played on January 30, 2020, in Miami, Florida. AnEsonGib was also playing his first professional boxing match. Jake was declared the winner in the match via TKO.

It took him only one round, which lasted for one minute and 18 seconds, to win his first match. AnEsonGib’s team and coach said he lost the game because he was exhausting himself by crouching.
