He became part of the Ruby League, and Whittaker joined the sports club named “Cronulla Sharks”. The young and talented league player was among the most prominent players. 

After a few years of training in Hapkido, his instructor changed the training center into a mixed martial arts gym. Robert Whittaker was left with no other choice but to train in MMA . Soon he found that this was the sport that he had been searching for.
