Sara McMann - UFC Featherweight Fighter

Sara McMann is a female professional MMA fighter; she competes in the featherweight division. The dynamic athlete is a former Olympic wrestler; she has marked her name in history with her remarkable performance. She is the first American woman to win the Olympic wrestling gold medal. In 2004 She achieved an impressive feat, she acquired a silver medal in freestyle wrestling. Sara McMann has competed in the World Wrestling Champion from 2000 till 2007.

An accomplished American athlete, Sara transitioned to mixed martial arts (MMA) in 2010. She signed the Strikeforce contract, and later, she stepped into the octagon and won the title of performance of the night once. After her debut, Sara had a streak of 7 - 0 in the bantamweight division.

Sara McMann was born in Takoma Park, America. From her early childhood, she was fond of physical activities, and she used to watch wrestling. Her interest was also developed in the theater; she continued her education. As she got older, she started to take wrestling training. 

At an early age, she was passionate about showing her dynamic skills while training. When Sara was 14, she started wrestling training at McDowell High School in Marion, North Carolina. Sara McMann has learned the unique patterns of striking and sweeps. 

In 2000 Sara McMann debuted in Olympic wrestling; she was fighting for the title of World Wrestling Championship. She has been in Olympic matches from 2000 till 2007. Sara McMann showed her spectacular performance, marking her name in history. Sara became the first American woman to win a medal in Olympic wrestling.

Sara McMann won the silver medal in 2003 and 2004, and she competed in the women's freestyle wrestling in the weight division of 138.75 (63 kilograms). In 2005 and 2007, she has won the Bronze medal.

Sara McMann has distinguished herself from the beginning; she was magnificent in the takedowns and throws. Sara has developed a dynamic throws range, and she always strives to take advantage through her significant moves. She has become a prominent figure in one of the oldest forms of combat sport, with her effective outcome.

Sara won the first Olympic Wrestling fight against Sofia Kampanari. In 2007, she ended her career by winning the matches back to back. She has made the record of winning thirteen and losing ten fights.

Sara won gold medals in 2001 Santo Domingo, 2007 Rio de Janeiro,2003 Santo Domingo, and 2007 Krasnoyarsk. She also won a gold medal in women's submission grappling in Fort Lauderdale.

As Sara McMann had made a transition and stepped into the octagon, she showed her potential with her determination. Sara has adopted the wrestling fighting style; she has appeared to be a really good submission fighter as well. 

Sara McMann has made a promising debut on the podium of MMA. She made her debut in 2011 when she was performing against Christina Marks in the event of Universal Cage Combat: Revolution. The pro fighter has shown her potential in the very first fight, she has won the fight via rear naked choke. 

The professional MMA fighter Sara McMann started her career as an amateur. Sara has flourished in her career, and she has been part of ProElite, Strikeforce, and Invicta Fighting Championships. Sara McMann has appeared in twenty-one matches and won fourteen out of them. Most of the wins are with the decision and submission method. 

Two years after her MMA debut, she stepped into the octagon in 2013. She appeared to be the most eminent UFC fighter in the Bantamweight category. She defeated Shelia Gaff in UFC 159 and won the fight with the TKO punches. Sara has defeated the top contenders, including Karol Rosa, Arlene Blencowe, Gina Mazany, Lauren Murphy, and Hitomi Akano.

Sara started her UFC career in the bantamweight division, and later she appeared in the featherweight category.

Sara McMann is the daughter of Thomas William McMann and Paula Jean. She has one sister and one brother. Sara has a spirit of helping people; she feels humbled as she works for humanity. She has worked for the people who have suffered from the tidal waves.

Sara is a passionate and devoted person. She has coached newbie wrestlers. She is a mother of two children: her daughter was born in 2009, and her son Lucas was born in 2018. 

Sara McMann is an enthusiastic person she has always lived a life of her desires. She was fond of learning theatre productions, and she took admission to “Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania,” which was located in Lock Haven, Pennsylvania.

In 2020, the event of UFC Fight Night: Blaydes vs. dos Santos was arranged in Raleigh, North Carolina, United States. Two versatile fighters, Sara McMann and Lina Lansberg, faced off. The bout was set for three rounds, each of five minutes duration. Both fighters were dominant and stayed persistent until the last round. In the end, Sara McMann won the bout with a unanimous decision. 

Tonya Evinger and Sara McMann faced off in the Catchweight category at the UFC Titan Fighting Championships 19 event in Kansas, USA. The passionate fighters used a wrestling fighting style, and the judges decided the three-round bout, resulting in Sara McMann's victory.

As Invicta FC 2: Baszler vs. McMann was arranged in the bantamweight category, the spectators can see the epic blast of punches and strikes. The top contenders, Sara McMann and Shayna Baszler, were unstoppable. The match ended after fighting in the three rounds. Sara McMann won the fight with a unanimous decision.
