2. Sara McMann's Biography

Sara McMann is a female professional MMA fighter; she competes in the featherweight division. The dynamic athlete is a former Olympic wrestler; she has marked her name in history with her remarkable performance. She is the first American woman to win the Olympic wrestling gold medal. In 2004 She achieved an impressive feat, she acquired a silver medal in freestyle wrestling. Sara McMann has competed in the World Wrestling Champion from 2000 till 2007.


An accomplished American athlete, Sara transitioned to mixed martial arts (MMA) in 2010. She signed the Strikeforce contract, and later, she stepped into the octagon and won the title of performance of the night once. After her debut, Sara had a streak of 7 - 0 in the bantamweight division.


Sara McMann has participated in the leading UFC events, including Invicta FC 2: Baszler vs. McMann, Universal Cage Combat: Revolution, UFC Fight Night: Lewis vs. Browne, UFC on ESPN: Blaydes vs. Daukaus, UFC Fight Night: Lewis vs. Browne, and UFC Fight Night: Bader vs. St. Preux.

In 2000 Sara McMann debuted in Olympic wrestling; she was fighting for the title of World Wrestling Championship. She has been in Olympic matches from 2000 till 2007. Sara McMann won the silver medal in 2003 and 2004, and she competed in the women's freestyle wrestling in the weight division of 138.75 (63 kilograms). In 2005 and 2007, she has won the Bronze medal.
