Biography

Born and raised in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) I have been practicing BJJ over 10 years. I`m purple belt graduated by ‘Brazilian Fight’, team created by Osiris Maia and Amaury Bitteti, both former students of the legendary Carlson Gracie. After some time without training because of some injuries in 2018 I returned to BJJ and in 2019 I`ll be back to the competitions. Since 2014 I`m living in Florida and nowadays I train with Alexandre Pulga, creator of ‘pulgoplata’.

Question:What will you suggest to the newcomers?

Answer:Never, never, never give up!

Question:What does it mean for you to be a fighter?

Answer:Means to fight for your goals, overcome the difficulties, progress and learn every day.

Question:What are the essential things for the training?

Answer:Good professor, concentration and a lot of sweat.

Question:What separates you from every other fighter in your division?

Answer:My champion`s heart.

Question:What is the meaning of success in your mind?

Answer:Success is not something that anybody can see or buy. Is something inside of your mind and soul. You don`t have to be rich, be world champion or the best of all doing whatever, but if you know, inside of your mind, that you are giving your best everyday, you are a successful person.

Question:With whom you would like to fight, and why?

Answer:Nobody in specific. I just concentrate my energy in doing my best.

Question:Is there any difference b/w your common days’ diet and during competition training diet?

Answer:Whenever I`m getting close to the competition day I have to adjust my diet to cut around 5 lbs.

Question:How does a beginner will prepare for the competition? Any advice for beginners?

Answer:Just do whatever you have been training. It is not time to create nothing new. Do not try to prove nothing to anybody. Be focused on you and give your best.

Question:How is it helpful to have the information about your competitor?

Answer:Is always good to be ready for everything but particularly I don’t care about what others are doing.

Question:Is the martial arts necessary for a common person? How?

Answer:Martial arts can teach people to have more balance on them life. Can teach how to be more patient, peaceful and focused. Besides is always good to know some self-defense.

Question:Which moment is memorable for you in your past competitions?

Answer:Winning my first competition as a blue belt.

Question:How do martial arts help to build a leader?

Answer:Martial arts build confidence and strong people. If you are a fighter or an athlete you are inspiring and helping someone in some point for sure.

Question:What would be your dream fight?

Answer:Wining the next world championship in my division, does not matter the circumstances

Question:How is the road plan necessary for any competition?

Answer:Nothing very different. I try to be ready 365 days a year.

Question:Do you have any advice for your competitors?

Answer:Be ready! Because I will!

Question:How much importance has the sports gear in any competition?

Answer:Have a good equipment is something very important. During the competition you have to be 100% focused on your fights. You have to feel comfortable and confident with your gear.

Question:What should we learn from the legends /or from the seniors? Who is your inspiration?

Answer:I have a lot of idols in different areas. The seniors inspire me because they already completed the path that I`m crossing now. I could mention Rodolfo Vieira as one of my favorites.

Question:To whom you would like to compliment for your success?

Answer:To all my teammates and coaches and everybody that helps me everyday.

Question:Who is your favorite legendary fighter? Why?

Answer:Vitor Belfort because of is trajectory.
