Question: Who inspires you, past or present? Why do they inspire you?
Answer:: My Home family as well as my BJJ family inspire me constantly. The support and love from my home family keeps me focused and driven. My BJJ family inspire me with the growth of themselves, therefore we grow as a team, mentally and physically! In the past i wasn't focussed on the right goals, i didn't really have or know a constructive path. Since joining BJJ i have found a positive outlet to discipline myself, learn, teach, and grow as a person, in turn bettering myself as a husband and father.
Question: How long have you been training?
Answer:: I have been training since October 2013.
Question: What inspires you about BJJ?
Answer:: The amount of passion and dedication emitted by every individual is extremely motivating and inspiring! I was welcomed in my gym as not only a member but as a son, brother, and friend. Not only do I absorb this sense of pride, I also teach it to all the new students coming up. Spreading the passion of the art is what BJJ is really about!
Question: Is the martial arts necessary for a common person?
Answer:: Because it build sense of respect and improve your defence techniques.
Question: How often do you train?
Answer:: 2hrs/ 4-5 days per week, and also 2 hrs/3 days per week weight training and cardio.
Question: What are your goals for this year? Next 3 years? Next 5 years?
Answer:: My goal indefinitely are to compete as much as time and my body will allow. Within the next 3 years or so I'm hoping to be an instructor and working towards opening my own school. Within 5 years, I hope to have my black belt and be running my own school with much success!
Question: Any major accomplishments you’ve been able to achieve in that time?
Answer:: I have signed my first Pro Fight contract in January 2017.
Question: Do you have a go-to finishing move?
Answer:: Im an opportunist, so Ill take what I can get. But if I had to chose one that I frequent, it would be an Americana or Kimura.
Question: What do you think it takes to be a champion in your sports?
Answer:: As much heart as any champion! Dedication to your team and yourself is key. Frequency is essential to staying in tune with mental part, the skill will fall in place after.
