Jefferson Goteu was born in Natal, Brazil, in December 2001. He has been energetic and lively since childhood. Goteu spent most of his time in extracurricular activities and was also fond of martial arts. He analyzed his interest at an early age. 

In the community of Goteu’s, a venerated black belt, Edinaldo Beleza, has opened the Brazilian jiu-jitsu training center. It was the training center and a place to shape the future. It was the best opportunity to avail. Soon, Jefferson Goteu was admitted to Edinaldo Beleza's training center and began his journey in BJJ.

When Jefferson Goteu was advanced to the blue belt rank, he joined the famous BJJ instructors Thiago and Bruno Barreto. They are the popular coaches running an academy affiliated with Checkmat. Then, Goteu remained with the same trainers until he reached black belt rank.

Jefferson Goteu has been present at jiu-jitsu tournaments since his early childhood, always standing ahead of other fighters. Goteu began competing in the AJP circuit a few years ago. In 2023, well-known coach Barreto Brothers promoted him to black belt in BJJ.

Jefferson Goteu has achieved popularity and become more well-known, as he has shown his ultimate performance in the BJJ tournaments. When he changed his academy and started his training under the Barreto Brothers academy, he built a reputation that was much more profound.

Jefferson was a representative of the Commando Group, and The instructors were the co-founders of it. When he was vying for a brown belt rank of BJJ, he was competing in the AJP circuit, Goteu showed a stellar performance and became the number-one fighter in the pound-for-pound ranking. 

Jefferson Goteu set an excellent record when he first started his career. he took majority of the medals and titles at home. He has participated in the most prestigious competitions and received a silver medal in the IST AJP Grand Slam. The other major torunamets include IBJJF Asian Championship, RJN, and AJP Grand Slam. 

A highly experienced BJJ practitioner, Jefferson Goteu has exhibited his diligent abilities in the jiu-jitsu tournaments on the mats. This dynamic 23-year-old contender has set the record of 16 wins and 3 loses for. He prevailed in the majority of his fights using the rear choke.

In 2022The International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation (IBJJF) organized a bout between purple belt BJJ competitors Steve Nouazulu and Jefferson Goteu. From the begining of the match, Goteu was in the dominant position, he quickly earned two points by using his selected , guard passing. With a masterful display of his skills, Jefferson Goteu got the victory with an armlock.

The 2022 ABU DHABI National featured a compelling match between two accomplished grapplers, Jefferson Goteu and Zayed Albreiki. The contest was a very tough the submission grappler Jefferson Goteu employed the Triangle Choke and won the match.
