Supermodel Gisele Bundchen Gets BJJ Purple Belt After Just Two Years: Joins Legends BJ Penn, Caio Terra for Fast Progress in BJJ

Gisele Caroline Bündchen, a top and one of the highest-paid Brazilian supermodels, has just announced her promotion to BJJ purple belt. The purple belt is an intermediate adult rank in Brazilian jiu-jitsu that is awarded to talented grapplers based on their expertise and jiu-jitsu skills. Gisele achieved this remarkable milestone at Valente Brothers Academy, where she has been taking BJJ classes. Gisele started her jiu-jitsu training in December 2021 and earned her purple belt within two years. She is an extremely passionate and skilled grappler and always pays attention to learning advanced jiu-jitsu skills.

In an interview with Dust Magazine's November 2022 issue, Gisele said:

"I'm a very intense person, so when I enjoy something, I am committed."

Due to her phenomenal grappling capabilities, Gisele is now ranked among the few legendary grapplers who secured this rank within a short period. Caio Terra and BJ Penn , top BJJ athletes, achieved advancement in their ranks just after two years of sparring and winning various tournaments. Both famous fighters tried hard and achieved their black belt ranks within five years. Now, the question arises in the BJJ community: whether Gisele will be successful in earning the black belt in under five years or not.

Gisele Bündchen shared her happiness through her Instagram stories:

“I am now a purple belt in Jiu-Jitsu. Thank you, Valente Brothers.
Congratulations, Valente Brothers, on your 30th birthday. Your discipline and values are inspired.”

Gisele not only exhibited her interest in BJJ but also in mixed martial arts as she said:

“I believe the more tools we have in our toolbox the better. I feel stronger, more confident, and empowered since I started practicing self-defense. I feel it’s an important skill for all, but especially for us women.”

“Thank you Valente brothers for being awesome teachers and for making training so much fun. I am looking forward to continuing to improve.”
