What's Next After UFC 301? Full Confirmed UFC 302 Main Card For Newark On June 1

Top contenders set an incredible record, through their blood, grit, and sweat. The note-worthy UFC victories were earned by the Flyweight Champion Alexandre Pantoja, former light heavyweight title challenger Anthony Smith, José Aldo, wild Michel Pereira, and highly anticipated middleweight Caio Borralho.


Throughout the UFC's history, the promotion has consistently produced extraordinary events that have amazed us. Now the UFC championship will be held in New Jersey. The UFC 302 main card has been fully confirmed and will take place on June 1 in Newark. The May 4 card is presently becoming the talk of the town, soon the attention will shift to the next upcoming PPV, and the focus will sway from the flyweight division to the lightweight.


For the first time this year, UFC 302 will showcase the top athlete, Islam Makhachev who will put his 155 pounds on the line. Dustin Poirier is all set to defend the title and is suspected of thrusting him off the podium. At UFC 299 Poirier stunned everyone by thoroughly knocking out the lightning-fast Benoit Saint-Denis in March 2024. The two lightweight engaged in a furious back-and-forth brawl, Poirier unleashed a brutal hook and demolished Denis by knockout. 

Strickland, Costa Set The Stage For Title Headliner At UFC 302

Former middleweight champion Sean Strickland alongside his fellow contender Paulo Costa will arrange the stage before the championship stakes arrive at the cage early next month. Strickland will look up to bounce back and rebound himself as a contender at the championship redemption. He competed for the title at UFC 297 in the past January.


On the other side, Paulo Costa squared off against Robert Whittaker, he returned to the octagon at UFC 298 in Anaheim. The 15-minute bout ended by the unanimous decision from the referees and Borrachinha came close to the victory with a shot and lost it by the decision. On 1st June 2024, Paulo Costa intended to take the matters a step further, by extending his hand in opposition to the ‘’Tarzan’’.


Jaliton Almeida is another fighter who is expected to get the card of UFC 302. ‘’Malhadinho’’ will be at the seventh spot and will face off the heavyweight ladder Alexandr Romanov.


Another bout is arranged between welterweight strikers Randy Brown and Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos. The main card will kick off with Cesar Almeida and Roman Kopylov, they will appear at the weight division of 185 pounds.


In the main card, the main event of the lightweight championship will be between Islam Makhachev and Dustin Poirier. In the co-main event of the middleweight category, Sean Strickland will face off against Paulo Costa. In heavyweight division Jailton Almeida and Alexandr Romanov will come against each other. The middleweight bout is all fixed for Cesar Almeida and Roman Kopylov. In the welterweight category, we can see Randy Brown and Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos.
