In 2022, the IBJJF No-Gi Pans championship was held in Garland, Texas from October 14th to October 16th. Every year, hundreds of competitors participate in the IBJJF No-Gi Pan Championship. During the 2022 IBJJF No-Gi Pan Championship, there were several interesting fights between many renowned fighters.

1. No-Gi BJJ vs. Gi BJJ

No-Gi BJJ is more challenging than Gi BJJ fights since it is easier to control your opponent’s movement by grabbing them by their BJJ Gi.

2. Highlights of the 2022 IBJJF No-GI Pans Championship

During the 2022 IBJJF No-Gi Pans Championship, the standard Jiu-Jitsu team accomplished a major feat by winning three gold medals.

From the Middle East, a young man named Osamah Almarwai won a gold medal in the rooster weight division.

Elizabeth Clay proved herself in this tournament by winning two gold medals with the help of her elite BJJ leg lock game.

Anna Rodrigues became the female adult Black Belt Champion. She won three matches and took the title of Lightweight Black Belt Champion. She won her semifinal match against Jasmine Rocha and the finals against Clarie North.

Thalyta Silva of Dream Art was a world-renowned silver medalist who returned with a gold medal. Before the finals, Silva defeated Vedha Toscano from CheckMat and Chloe McNally of Unity Jiu-Jitsu. Silva won the finals against Bridget McEliec and earned her victory.

Manuel Ribamar was the Medium Heavyweight Division Black Belt Champion. He defeated Gabriel Arges, Sebastian Rodrigues, and Francisco Lo.

Final bout was between Osamah Almarwai and Henrique Rossi under the rooster weight division. Osamah Almarwai a Yemen citizen who got his Black Belt in 2022 surprised all BJJ fans by defeating a highly-ranked athlete Henrique Rosi. he defeated Henrique with points.
