In the industry of Brazilian jiu-jitsu, Cisneros showcased professional dedication and absolute passion. He is widely recognized as the rising star of BJJ who led the way to conquer various victories. Cisneros marked his identity in significant competitions namely ADCC West Coast Trials, Fight 2 Win 145 lbs No-Gi Champion IBJJF American Nationals, and IBJJF Pan Championship NOGI. Josh Cisneros is the brother of another BJJ Athlete Jacob Cisneros.

In California, USA the promising BJJ practitioner was born on 2 May 2000. From childhood, he was keenly involved in sports. He wants to delve deep into wrestling; which he played for about 12 years. During the days of his childhood, Cisneros practiced boxing and Muay Thai only for a few years.
Cisneros’ Father decided to let his two sons Josh and Jacob join the classes of BJJ. Josh began the jiu-jitsu journey and became part of Team Visalia Academy, along with his brother.

He was becoming widely recognized while competing in colored belts. He secured 1st position in IBJJF World Championship No-Gi, IBJJF World Championship No-Gi Juvenile, IBJJF Pan Championship Juvenile, and IBJJF World Championship Juvenile.

Josh Cisneros started his training under Tom Knox after joining Visalia Academy. In his journey from the white belt to the black, he stayed with the same coach. His sole focus was turning to jiu-jitsu, rather than wrestling. Josh Cisneros was promoted to black belt in August 2020.
