Marlon Vera is an Ecuadorian who was born in Chone. The 32-year-old fighter is a mixed martial artist who has gained popularity with his dynamic moves and skill set. Marlon Vera is the representative of Team Oyama, Vera is a black belt in jiu-jitsu under the instructions of Jason Parillo.


Marlon Vera has accomplished multiple things in mixed martial arts . He started his career as a competitor in regional promotions and then shifted to California and became a UFC fighter.


Marlon Vera has won numerous titles and has participated in the most prominent championships. He has won the title five times for Performance of the Night and is the UFC fighter who has gained popularity by having the most finishes in the history of the Bantamweight division. Vera has also had the most submission attempts in the bantamweight division.

Marlon Vera was born in 1992 in Chone, Ecuador. He belongs to the small town of Chone, which is located in Manabi. He lived in a small suburb with his two siblings.


Since childhood, he has been a fussy child who has always created disturbance and turbulence. As Vera was getting older, his rage was increasing and turning into physical violence. Vera becomes more pugnacious and quarrelsome and begins hitting his boys in the neighborhood.

The Ecuadorian has become famous for the name Chito Vera, simply called Chito. The Spanish word ‘Chito’ means putting someone into silence or a state of being quiet. He was known as Chito since childhood; he was given this name because Marlon Vera could not call him, so his family started calling him another name.
