On 21 May, 1989 Renato Alves Carneiro was born in Brasilia, Distrito Federal, Brazil. He has been a very active child, always indulging in physical activities. As Moicano was growing up, he started to take a keen interest in fighting; he used to watch martial arts movies.

Renato Moicano has a wealthy background and has continued his studies. At the age of eight, he started training in Judo .

Renato Moicano has trained rigorously in various martial arts fields; with time, he has become more passionate about martial arts. He started training in Judo when he was only eight years old. Combat sports have enhanced his skill set. He is very passionate about physical endurance, and in judo, he gained dynamic strength. He has learned Kata, the basics of Judo, and increased his grip strength.

He stayed with the same team for a few years, and after that, Moicano felt that he needed to enhance his skill set, and he had to fetch another training center. Soon, he made a firm decision, and his law career was overshadowed; it was a tough decision indeed. Just after two years, he left the Law degree and started to focus more on the martial arts field. 

Renato Moicano began the training of BJJ with the great instructor Alex Leleco, a renowned grappling expert.

Renato Moicano excelled in throws and takedowns. Renato Moicano had a great experience with Leleco and learned dynamic jiu-jitsu techniques from him. Soon, he had become the most dominating BJJ athlete. The invincible contender was promoted to black belt by the most well-known instructor, Alex Leleco.

Renato Moicano has made an impressive achievement; he is also a black belt in Muay Thai. 

Renato Moicano appeared on the podium, and he commenced his MMA career in the featherweight championship. He has a winning streak of eight wins, and after that, Renato started competing in Jungle Fight in Brazil.

Renato Moicano's preservation, hard work, and determination eventually paid off as he stepped onto the octagon in 2014. As he began his journey, he was competing in the featherweight division, and he replaced Jason on relatively short notice in less than two weeks. Renato has squared off against Tom Niinimäki. Renato Moicano was married to martial arts fighter Priscila Van Der Broocke. They have a son named Issac, who was born in 2020. She had appeared in the octagon and made her debut in the UFC in 2017. In 2000, Renato met Pricila at his school, and they both started to take an interest in each other. After eleven years, they started dating.
