Fight Card Disclosed for WNO 19

Who’s Number One Championship (WNO) has announced the dates for its 19th tournament along with the name of the fighters in the main and preliminary cards. The tournament is scheduled for August 10, 2023. The time duration of the bout is 15 minutes. The arena for the fight is Palmer Event Center in Austin, Texas. The match will air on FloGrappling and for that purpose, viewers need an active subscription. Tickets for the tournament are available on the official page of FloSports.

WNO is the most distinguished and anticipated grappling tournament. This tournament consists of elite competitive grappling with no advantages and points. It is a submission-only No-Gi tournament with no overtime. The tournament revolves around one concept and that is positional dominance. This tournament is all about the best fighting the best.

The main card of the fight consists of Nicholas Meregali Vs. Kaynan Duarte. It is the fourth time that Meregali and Duarte are facing each other in a grappling tournament, where both have a record of two wins and two losses. So this fight might decide who's the best between the two. Recently Meregali has won double gold medals at the 2023 IBJJF Pans Championship. On the other hand, Duarte competed at the 2023 IBJJF World Championship and won a silver medal in the super-heavyweight division and a bronze medal in the absolute weight division.

Ffion Davies, the WNO Flyweight Champion, is looking forward to defending her belt against Jasmine Rocha. Another card consists of Felipe Pena and Haisam Rida. Rida has consecutively lost four fights so he is definitely looking for a win against the multiple times world champion.

Another fight card announces Nicky Ryan Vs. Rene Sousa. This fight will be Ryan's first fight of 2023. Ryan is a three times ADCC veteran and is competing right after the 2022 ADCC World Championship. On the other hand, Sousa is the part of B-Team Jiu Jitsu who recently defeated PJ Barch and Gabriel Almeida earlier this year. Sousa, also known as the buggy choke specialist, has a WNO record of 1-1.
