UFC legend Carlos Joseph Condit played against Michael Venom Page on 2 nd November 2024 in Fairfield Halls, London. It was a fun grappling match held at Polaris 30, a leading event where Condit failed to make a memorable comeback and faced a defeat against Michael.
Polaris is the Pro Jiujitsu event where athletes play professional grappling matches worldwide.
Carlos Joseph Condit, a UFC legend who played in martial arts games such as boxing, wrestling, kickboxing, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, returns to Polaris Jiujitsu. Out of 46 matches played in MMA, he managed to win 32 games.
He is a former UFC and WEC titleholder. In comparison, Michael Venom Page has played 25 matches in MMA, winning 22 of them. He has won many medals in kickboxing. However, unlike Carlos Joseph, he has never won any UFC championship. He currently ranks 15 th in the UFC welterweight rankings.
The match was played for 10 minutes. Condit started by pulling the guard, and Michael quickly defended himself. Condit tried to use multiple submissions, but Michael managed to avoid all of them. Finally, Michael tried to take down Condit, and he was ultimately declared the winner by the decision.
Fans had mixed reactions after this match. Some were saying that Condit got robbed. Others appreciated him, although he lost the game.
Condit was disappointed after the match, as he said after the defeat against Michael. He tried multiple times to attack the legs of Michael, but Michael managed to defend himself every time. He praised Michael after the match, saying he is a big fan of Michael.
“I’m a big fan of Michael. I’m disappointed it didn’t go my way tonight. I thought I had some great moments throughout the match. I’ve got to get back and work on some stuff.” Condit said after the match.
Michael was over the moon as he pulled the victory and said he was prepared against all the attacks that Condit usually uses in the match. He admired that his team prepared him well against all those leg attacks. Michael also praised Condit and said he is strong and tough.
“My team had prepared me for the leg attacks, so I was not worried.”
That was a great, fun match, with Michael winning his professional grappling debut match. Condit somehow did not make a remarkable comeback at the Polaris 30 main event and was disappointed.
