2. Lucas Lisboa’s Biography
Lucas Lisboa is a passionate grappler and a jiu-jitsu black belt produced by the Academy of Cicero Costha in the sports global circuit. Lisboa was the representative of Team Cícero Costha. While climbing the ranks in sports Lucas Lisboa was promoted to black belt under Cicero Costha. He started training in Jiu-Jitsu after losing his mother and marked his name by securing numerous titles in the IBJJF Dallas Open, IBJJF Atlanta Summer Open, IBJJF New Orleans Summer Open, and BJJF South American Championship.
2.1. Lucas Lisboa’s Childhood
On 22 August 1995, Lucas Lisboa was born in Espirito Santo the state of Brazil. Lisboa was an energetic child, he grew up playing various sports. In his teenage, he was an efficient player of basketball. It was the only sport in which he used to spend time, but he gave up everything after the death of his mother.
Lisboa was not very mature when his mother passed away. The shock of losing a blessing led him into utter grief. The condition of Lisboa became even worse as hopelessness took the shape of depression, which turned into an ailment. His family took him to different psychiatrists and psychologists but this did not help.
2.2. Lucas Lisboa’s Interest in BJJ
The therapist did not cure the ailment of Lucas Lisboa. One day he was coming back from school and found his way to the nearby training center which was jiu jitsu academy. This BJJ martial art was turned into the remedial treatment that he required. Slowly and gradually a newfound joy was healing the inner anguish and torment. The interest of Lucus Lisboa took the shape of passion with his first coach Isaque Pereira.
2.3. Lucas Lisboa’s Rank Advancement
Lucas was a keen learner in his BJJ journey, he started to compete in the local tournaments and earned victory in bouts. His enormous performances on the mat led him to compete throughout all belts till purple. After that, Lisboa decided to train under the guidance of Cicero Costha who is one of the top instructors in BJJ. So he moved to Sao Paulo, Brazil, and began to represent the squad of the Cicero Costha.
Lucas Lisboa began an expedition of the international championship and competed in the IBJJF global circuit while conquering his brown belt.
2.4. Lucas Lisboa’s Black Belt Promotion
Lucas Lisboa was among the most commanding and dominating BJJ athletes. On October 9, 2020, he was promoted to the black belt by the renowned instructor Cicero Costha. He became an unbeatable contender and secured 1st rank in several competitions including IBJJF Atlanta Fall Open, IBJJF Dallas Open, and IBJJF Atlanta Summer Open.
2.5. Lucas Lisboa’s Acedamic Career
As Lucas Lisboa earned his purple belt he was doing a degree in Political Science from the Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo. His mere focus was diverting to jiu-jitsu and decided to put his academic life behind him and move to São Paulo, Brazil to thrive in his BJJ career.

Lucas Lisboa started his career and secured multiple gold medals. Some of his achievements are described; he took first place in the IBJJF South American Championship in 2019, 2nd Place IBJJF South American Championship (2018), 3rd Place IBJJF South American Championship (2019), 2nd Place in AJP Grand Slam, LA (2019), 1 st place in IBJJF Chicago Summer Open (2022), 1st Place IBJJF New Orleans Summer Open (2022) and 1st Place IBJJF Dallas Open (2022).

Lucas Lisboa is a famous BJJ black belt, he has an extraordinary skill set that he shows on the mats. Lucas has a professional record of 23 wins and 24 losses. Most of his wins are with the use of the armbar technique. To avail better opportunities he switched his academy to Fight Sports and went to Florida USA in the year 2021.
